Needful Things - Camille, Crow, & Penny

Penny looked over at the person Sophie was pointing at. A slight sneer played across her mouth as she looked the other Vampire up and down quickly, and then returned her attention to the plan of all the emergency exits. She adjusted her hat a bit to make sure her face was still partially obscured, just in case. The last thing she needed was for someone to recognise her here and call the cops.

"Do you know her?", she asked Sophie. "I've never seen her before, so unless she bothers us let's just ignore her and pretend we're hunting or something." She glanced over at the stairs again. "You think if one of us pulled the fire alarm, we could muscle our way into the office area when the people come out of the fire escape?"

Sorry, that was my mistake. For some reason I was thinking Sophie was a Ghoul. Camille, they're both reading as Kindred.

((oo: well that's just what i was given earlier, but you're the one i refer to as kindred, St information said the other one wasn't kindred, so i posted with that view of the scene in mind))

((Who's the one that isn't Kindred? I'm Kindred, and Sophie is the Carthian Primogen's childe if I'm not mistaken. Sort of confused about who you're talking about))

Camille frowned, she wondered why she'd faield in obfuscating ehr presence to the other kindred, she was after all one of the gifted of her line.
However after a moments hesitation she shook her head and sighed, despite this failure she would perservere, she always did, no matter how difficult the situation, Camille Olivia Sangiovanni was renowned by her line for her ability to get out on top, always unscathed.

Also, why did the one that wasn't kindred grow afraid when the partyer had bumped into her, Camille, like a cat, suffered from one trait, she was far too curious for her own good.

ooc: my apologies, i thought I'd gotten outside already and they were "staking" out the club (which would look suspicious and thus be a good reason for camilles study of their auras.
That and them not exactly fitting in was why i did so.
also, sorry i didn't properly write the point on obfuscate, my own fault so, i'm jsut rolling with it as a failure.

Camille:

As you stood and stared into the two unfamiliar faces, you could see both their auras as dark blue. And one of them flickered orange when one of the other patrons bumped into her while they were talking.

However, since reading their auras required you to stare at them and focus, one of them clearly spotted you.

Penny:

While you and Sophie were talking, she seemed to spot something out of the corner of her eye. "Hey, who's that girl who's been staring at us across the room? She's Kindred."

Camille looked at those, thoguhtfully, they didn't look like they were itnerested in the party, neither did they look like hunting, she slipped into a shade and hid herself before stepping back out into the room, focussing her senses to scrutinize their aura's.

Penny:
Sophie shrugged. "No idea, I've never looked to close at them. I guess we could give it a shot. But fire doors are usually locked from the outside and have alarms and shit, so unless you're planning on-" One of the ravers accidentally bumped into you and just kept moving, prompting Sophie to lower her tone. "...on blowing up that wall, I don't know."

Camille:
On the way out to Mass, out of the corner of your eye, you noticed another Kindred. Not too unusual for this club perhaps, but she and her friend who looked much more suited for a rave seemed to have little interest in dancing, as they stood more or less off to the side looking in. They might have been picking out a meal, except the girl next to her didn't look like Kindred. And they didn't seem to notice you yet.

OOC: Man I hate my life sometimes. You wouldn't think it would be this difficult to give some people 500 euros to register for my next semester at the university, but that's what I've been doing the past three weeks =/

About Penny: She's on the ground floor at the moment, trying to see how she might get to the upper levels of the club. She's not carrying any visible weapons, but she has an MP5 SMG under her coat, a pistol in her pocket and a bomb in her handbag.

IC: Penny looked around the crowded club and pulled her hat a bit lower despite it already being rather dark. She noticed the doors to the kitchens and the keycard locked door to the staircase. When she spotted the fire escape plans however, she headed straight for them. If those escape routes told people how to get out, they'd tell you how to get in as well. Especially into the upper levels. She motioned for Sophie to come over to see what she thought of taking the fire escape up to the office area, instead of finding a way past that door, which could take all night.

ooc: if i do head out the door where penny's trying to get in i have a few questions:
A: is she still at that door?
B: Predators taint?
C: Does she carry any visible armaments (If taint doesn't Scare me, i will use auspex)

If i don't encounter her at the door, I will head to the cathedral, hwoever there may not be anything to actually play out there (i have no point in going except attending mass), so if there is nothing we can skip straight to the don.

ooc: everything considered, won't i be heading out the door penny's at?

also what time of night is it, if it's close to midnight and camille thinks she can make it, she'll be heading to the lancea sanctum Cathedral for Mass, otherwise yes meeting with the don should be next.

Crow smiled at your last question. "He's my Sire. Good evening, Donna Bella."


OC: Is there anything else you'd like to do, or should we just skip ahead to your meeting with the Don?

Camille smiled and curtsied to him, then headed for the door.

Thank you, i think i will stay down below for a bit before heading on, please let me know when you've spoken to the don, here's my number.
Also is the Don one of us, or Kine?

She handed him a business card

After that she headed outside to descend the stairs, taking her time to study the different floors as she passed them.

He nodded, and stood up to retrieve a pen and pad from the desk. "This is my number. I can't promise anything, but if you give me yours, I can try to arrange a meeting between you and the Don. In the meantime, you're welcome to enjoy the club, if you don't have to be off right away." After that, he would escort you back down.


OC: Think that about wraps it up for you Camille. Where are you headed next?

ooc: i just scrolled back to be bsolutely certain on the tarets,a nd found my memory had played me one, so i'll go with what i thought i knew, and hope you'll modify reaction a bit, or we could run with the application of a plot point to straighten out that error (even though i'd rather use it to know the club was a target, than town hall, since i mgiht get burnt soon for not knowing).

Camille looked over at him, she didn't like the fully revealed hand concept, but she'd played into it, and she knew better than to withdraw her stance at this point.

The targets i know of Are Elysium and town hall, they are both quite obvious targets as well, if i wanted to paralyze kindred society i'd go for those two first, Elyzium to remove the meeting place, Town hall to scramble control over mortal society.

Camille:
Crow shook his head. "Just keep me in the loop. Since one of those Carthian targets could very well be my club, you're doing us both a favor by tracking this down. So keep me informed, and I'll help you out wherever possible.

By the way, you said you knew of two of their targets. What are they?"

Penny:
The inside was packed, dark, loud, and had a lot of flashing lights. So scanning the are for securty was a little tricky. You managed to spot one or two cameras and club employees that looked capable of throwing out a rowdy drunk, so it wasn't hard to get some idea of what trouble you might be in for. The fire code dictated the number of possible escape routs, and there were a couple 'employees only' doors that looked protected with a mere lock. The kitchen doors weren't locked down of course, and the door to the staircase was behind a door with a key-card lock. Without a card, it was impossible to know how difficult it would be to reach Crow's office.

Penny nodded when Sophie explained the difficulty of getting into the top office. She would have liked to destroy the heart of the operation, so to speak, but if the idea here was simply to put pressure on the Invictus, perhaps torching the stairs would do. In any case it should cause significant damage to the building and hopefully, if the fire spread, maybe even the lower levels.

Penny led the way across the street towards the club entrance. Once they were inside they could get a better idea of what would be achievable and what wouldn't.

Camille cocked her head slgihtly.
I see, So if i am to trace this, i need to see the Don, good to know, i take it he is kindred too?.
I take it from you'r surprise you're not that familiar with the sangiovanni, so i'll lay the brief one down for you.
We're an old line of a mortal family, those who are gifted are embraced into our real family, We're seated at vienna with a strong hold in sicily as well, and we have deep ties to the mob on a worldwide scale.


Then she smiled, after all she was enjoying herself, she'd not revealed any secrets either, just given Crow a good image of who he's dealing with.
Well, i think that concludes the actual business at hand, unless of course there is more you'd like to discuss while i am here?

Camille: Crow seemed a little taken back, clearly surprised at how a newcomer got her hands on that kind of information. “You’ve done your homework. Tony’s presence here was actually more personal than anything. He wasn’t trying to betray the family. He was just looking for a way to prove he could run things here better than me. And he somehow had the power to assume control of a group of street thugs who originally followed Frost to do that. There’s a little more to it though.” He took a seat on a small couch up against the wall.

“Tony’s movements were altogether foolish. I didn’t call the Don to inform him of his son’s death, I called him to inform him of his impending death. You see he also made a few mistakes regarding the Masquerade, and he found himself seeking refuge in my own club from the Hound, waiting for the Knights to save him. Last I saw, he ducked out the back door with her close behind, and I haven’t heard from him since. His responsibilities within the family now fall to the Don until this mess is sorted out. And I heard a Kine called Ray Lambert, same guy who threatened my club with a grenade some time ago, took over for the gang-bangers when the shipment came in. I’m sure you saw the news about the police raid at the train station. But I didn’t hear anything about arms.”

He leaned forward, a little more interested in the inconsistency in your stories now, rather than just filling gaps. “The reason Celeste was hunting him was because he was trafficking Vitae. Somehow it had not only retained its properties in transit, but had the power to Ghoul whoever drank it. That’s why I worked with the Sheriff to have all the evidence destroyed before the police caught up with them in the warehouse district.

Penny: Sophie definitely had more sense than most Kindred gave her credit for. Though her impatience tends to trump that. In any case, she really didn't seem any more political know-how than her Sire. "I'm not sure it's possible to get to Crow's office without him knowing. But it might not matter, if your fast enough. You don't have to blow up his office for this to have a chance. And as far as I know, it's only got one enterance, so maybe you could just torch the stairs."

Camille glided through the door after him and clsoed it behind her, waiting a bit, before speaking.

Well, the short of it is that i heard you're the one who told the Don about Tony corleone's passing away.

I know for a fact that Tony's the one who sold the weapons in question, so i was wondering if you knew where he'd died and by whose hand.
As well as who took over his part of the family business.

With those details cleared, it should be a small matter for me to locate them.


ooc: why do i get a feeling i won't really need that after a few more posts from penny.

Crow took slow steps from the door as it came to a close. He was looking down in thought of her proposal as he watched the masses move about. The chaos of the floor always gave way to the opportunity to think. All the movement of drugs, guns, bodies, after a wile it started to get to much for any one person. "I will confess that I was never one to be able to share the glory but the ability to survive always grants a greater view of the world. A rats best survival skill is not being found, how do you propose we smoke them out?"

Camille grinned, afterall, this is what she loved to do, business.

Well, i've got a suggestion for an arrangement, it would seem the Carthians are moving to blow up a few targets in our city, Invictus targets, i may add.
And i picked up a rumor that you may be in possession of knowledge which can help in causing their failure.
I know of two targets of their bombings, what i don't know is what rat hole they've found to hide in, when put together and given to the right person this knowledge could very easily put us in the regents good graces, that is always a good place to be.
of course, the carthians failing is also of interest to us in the lance, The first estate keeps order on things, as opposed to a bunch of frenzied Socialists.

Camille crossed her fingers in her mind, hopefully he'd agree to the suggestion, a 50/50 split would be good for them both she thought.

Penny stood across the street from SINless, hands in the pockets of her coat, looking over at the building. Her eyes were narrowed in dislike as she took in the place and the people frequenting it. If there was any more proof needed that things in this country needed to change, this was it. Not only were people so bored and apathetic that they subjected themselves to every vice imaginable just to get their kicks for the night, but even vice itself had become a trademark, a product to be bought and sold. And no doubt some enterprising capitalist pig was getting rich off of the masses of pathetic mid-level managers that came here to get fucked up the ass by a dominatrix cause their wives wouldn't put up with their bullshit anymore.

She had gotten Sophie to give her the general idea behind the place, as well as a rough description of the layout on the drive over here. She'd insisted on returning for her Honda, and making whoever rigged it to die fix it, because it was an inconspicuous car. There were millions of them on the street, and nobody would look twice at one. She had made the bomb at the garage, a simple but very effective incendiary bomb that could almost be considered a trademark, if she hadn't disagreed with copyright as an institution on principle, and made a short detour to her own Haven on her way here to pick up her MP5, which was now hidden inside her coat. Her pistol was still in her coat pocket, and the bomb was inside her handbag.

She had tried to feel Sophie out for possible political potential as well, to see if, with a little encouragement, she could be made into a decent revolutionary. Penny had also run her general plan by Sophie to see what she thought and if she had any input to make. The idea was to plant the bomb at the top, in the office area, where it would cause the most damage in terms of lost records and files and so on, but without significant risk of harming the patrons and, especially, staff. If this Crow guy who owned the place got burned to a crisp, so much the better, but he wasn't the primary target here. If he was, Penny would have rigged his car to blow instead of going through all this trouble. Since the top office was electronically locked, Penny's plan called for Sophie to get them inside there somehow. Penny was good for fiery rhetoric, but she somehow thought Sophie would be much better at getting a staff member to let them into the office area. Once inside, they could hide the bomb somewhere, ask some meaningless questions of whoever was up there, and get out before the place went up in flames.

So now Penny was watching the club, waiting to hear what Sophie thought of the plan.
