Re: OOC Chat
No comments from anyone about the idea of an Invictus heavy game?

Re: OOC Chat
Oh my bad. I guess a game in that setting would alleviate your main issue with the Invictus being so out-dated, right? Probably means you'd have almost as much focus on the Lancea Sanctum, when they'd really be in their element. That could be pretty cool. I never really cared for period games or ones that take place in a region I know little about though, because you actually need a little OC knowledge just to envision your character. That's why I was pissed that the only LARP at the con was a Requiem for Rome game. But that's just me. And you did, after all, brake my prejudices about D&D games, so I'd definitely be curious.

No, the idea I mentioned two or three posts before.

Re: OOC Chat
Ok, I suppose I should have dropped in the OC thread from time to time just to let you folks know I was still more or less alive, I apologize for that.
And what Requiem idea, the Spear security director? Told you to begin with, I love it. I know you know how to build a sheet, so what do you need from me before doing that?

Re: OOC Chat
As an FYI, just to clarify, Claymore and I know each other in RL. We're constantly pestering and badgering each other. We're really not arguing.

Re: OOC Chat
No you're not. You're faking it.
Besides, your shifts at DnB are 6PM until 2, merely an 8 hour shift. And that's assuming you work more then 4 hours there. I know. I can see your car and the motorcycle from my porch when I step outside.
lol.
Seriously though, the point isn't that you have to post every day or something, it's that you can't go a week or two at a time without leaving an update. You said you'd be busy, blah blah... but that was weeks ago. No updates on your status since.
Anyway, what do you think of my Requiem idea?

Re: OOC Chat
Friday, June 18th: Canteen job, making a run to and from Raleigh starting at 7am. Dropped in on my folks while there, and got back around 3. (6 hours round trip plus loading and unloading the truck.) Ate, took a nap, went to work at D&B from 7 to 2 that same day. After being awake and working for 20 hours, I slept till my Saturday shift at D&B started, and worked till closing, followed by opening Sunday. Took the last half of Sunday to unwind and do a little more homework, but had to go to bed early because I had to get up at 5 Monday. Every weekday since, I worked Canteen again, 10 hours shifts starting at 6am. Including time getting ready for work and going to and from the place, I'd been awake 12 hours by the time I got home, not to mention it's physically demanding, and still squeezed out a couple hours of homework each day. Even made time to see a friend on Tuesday. Friday I had both jobs again, followed by crashing till my Saturday shift, opened today, and now here I am.
Today I need to clean my room and start packing to move. I also need to clean up the apartment. And I have to go to bed early because I have to get up at 5am tomorrow to get ready for another run to Raleigh, followed by my usual 14 South Carolina runs Tuesday and Wednesday.
{Takes a breath}
Next weekend is the last one I'll be working at D&B, and I'll have some time tonight and probably Tuesday to do a little posting amidst packing. But yes. At the moment, I really am that goddamn busy.

Re: OOC Chat
How is it not a consistent thing? You've been doing it for like 2 or 3 weeks now, and it's been a week since you've updated anyone in the OOC thread.
Claymore, Homie, I'm not supposed to have to poke you in your OOC thread to keep your game moving. You really aren't that busy. You just think you are.
*Uses the Force on Claymore*
"You will update your game."
There. That should take care of things for a while.
Anyway...
To the other players in this game. I was thinking of opening up either a European based game in Prague, or Budapest, or Berlin. The game would be heavy on the Invictus Aristocracy and characters would be a minimum of 100 years old, BP 3. Each city obviously offers up different ideas, but I am leaning mostly towards Prague, Budapest, and then Berlin.
Thoughts?

Re: OOC Chat
No, you didn't blow yourself up.
I'm sorry folks, but I just took on a second job and went from virtually no hours to too many overnight. I got roped into covering for someone, because I really need the money. And these are 10 hour 4am shifts every weekday, including enough manual labor to make me pass out the instant I get home. My original job covers most of the weekend, and summer courses are filling all the gaps. I'm fuckin exhausted.
Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic about the ability to catch up on a couple debts in the span of a couple months, whereas without this new job, I'd be beyond broke in the same amount of time. But I can't focus on anything else for the moment.
This isn't going to be a constant thing. One of the reasons I had to snap this up and still keep the old job was, once my roommate gets back from vacation, I'll actually go back to 3 or 4 days off each week. And I'll get back to posting with some regularity. But until that happens, I'm going to have to pause this game.

Shhh! Don't interrupt me! I'm watching the grass grow and we're getting to the good part...
Seriously, though, I know patience is a virtue and all, but I'm ready to see things move along a little.

I know, but it shouldn't be unexpected that the neonates will try to use the elders too...

And no, it's not an arrogant statement. It's a matter of logistics and experience.

It's sort of wierd to experience. Although to be fair, our characters sort of encountered one another in the old IC/OC thread. Of course, Josh was originally built way back around August of 2006, when the game was more of a full NWoD experience instead of mostly Kindred-focused.
