"Sounds like a difficult case," Alisa remarked, picking up the girl's file and skimming it. "Where was she last spotted? What abilities does she have? And do you have any ideas where she might be now?"

Setting down the file, Alisa pauses briefly before continuing. "And assuming I take this case, what resources will I have at my disposal?"

He hesitated, thinking for a moment on just how much he wanted to tell a former Hunter. "As far as we can tell, there's no Belial's Brood presence in this city save this one member. So we don't suspect it's Mortal influence she's after.

This city is sitting on top of one of the largest sources for a peculiar power. A Dragon can tell you more about it than I can, they call them Wyrm's Nests. But we suspect that may have something to do with her interest in this area. Another possibility is that a few powerful Mage items have found their way back here, and could be very dangerous in the wrong hands.

I don't know how long she's been in this area. But since we discovered her here, we tracked that host's sudden odd behavior back to about four years ago."

He flipped through some more papers in the folder in front of him, and removed the bio that went with the photo of the little girl. "Emma Campbell, age eleven. Her parents reported her missing after she went on a field trip to a museum in Rocktown we had started investigating, and never came home. That was two years ago, and she hasn't aged since."

The unassuming figure seated across from Garreth picked up the pictures, examining each one carefully, making mental notes of the details before dropping the photos back down on the table. "So you have no idea what form she's in now?" Alisa asked in a serious tone, her face an expressionless mask as she spoke. "What information do you have on her last known host?"

Settling back into her seat, Alisa let her gaze meet Garreth's. Dressed in a pair of jeans, and a dark brown cardigan over a green tank top, she looked very much like an ordinary teenager, seemingly no older than sixteen. Tonight, she wore her long blond hair in a tight, French braided pigtail that hung a little past the small of her back. Though most people would probably find her shapely build and her facial features attractive, there was also something "off" about her. Perhaps it was a strange quality of her blue eyes, or perhaps it was the unnaturally pale skin. Then again, maybe it was something in the way she carried herself. Whatever it was, it was subtle enough to avoid drawing unwanted attention, but noticeable enough to prevent most others around her from feeling completely at ease.

Do you have any idea how long she has been in this area? And what it is she seeks here?

There were only two reasons why a Prince of another city would call on you. You met up with Sir Garreth Fairbook in the basement level of a seven story library in the university area. The library was closed, but he had some pull with the librarian to ensure a quiet and undisturbed meeting place. Upon exiting the elevator, you would find a few large wooden tables and chairs in the center area. But aside from that, nothing but rows of books, some on tracks so they could be moved closer together to make room for more. The walls were pale, and the carpet was a dull gray. The room was lit with fluorescent lights, the buzzing from which was the only sound.

Garreth was already sitting at one of the tables when you came down, with a small stack of folders beside him. After introductions, you sat down opposite him and he got straight to business. "As I'm sure you've guessed, we're in a very difficult position to have to call outside help. Some time ago, we began hunting for a diabloist calling herself Shiataan. We quickly found out that she was a member of Belial's Brood, and has been, supposedly, spotted in numerous cities over the years. Recently we managed to capture her for a brief time, but in short, she escaped and took the life of one of our Cell in the process. This is her."

He laid before you a picture of an attractive 30ish woman with blond hair pulled into a pony tail. "So is this." The next picture was of an old woman with a walker. If not for the aura about her in the image, you'd never suspect her as Kindred. "And this..." The next picture was of an eight year old girl, chained to the end of a bed and looking like her head was about to spin 360 degrees. "That was her last known form before she jumped out the hotel window and escaped, presumably in a new body. As you can imagine, she's extremely difficult to track. Our strategy must change. The Regent has ordered us to handle this so it can be done quietly enough to prevent panic among our Kin that the Brood are in town." He paused for your thoughts before moving on.
