I'm going to give it a couple-three days until I post again here so other, more senior characters can have a chance to post. I'd suggest other people go ahead and post. Otherwise jedi may show has Gauge-like patience and just start airlocking people... :shock:

It occurs to me that we might want to work a little bit on our chain of command and crisis procedures. Kieron's a great guy, in my head, but he's probably the last person on the ship that you'd want acting as your captain.

Okay I want to figure out who is doing what.

Kieron, I guess since nobody is stepping up to deal with it, you are going to have to make an executive decision.

I finally posted my character getting to the bridge. I was waiting in case there were some rolls I needed to make to simulate that. If there are, I'll go do those, but the shaking seemed to be more for flavor than anything else.

Cat said she plans to catch up on this today, which means her dice roll result. I'm also expecting Claymore to make his dice roll result too. One way or another I'm posting this evening and getting it up and running.

The map is pretty close to the way I want the ship to be. It's crude, and so therefore not perfect. I'd also written the post before doing the map. =(

Anyway...

I'm going on vacation from July 27 - August 2 and my internet access will probably be non-existent. Though if the hotel we're at has a business center (I think it does), I should be able to post at least some.

Hey, I'm just wondering; was a solid decision ever made on what kind of a ship we're flying on? And if it's some kind of homebrew, can we get a rough map? I'm just realizing I have no idea how to visualize where we are in relation to everything.

Hey all. I'm playing your pilot. For the record, I don't plan to wear a collander on my head - unless of course the captain's new Alliance doo-hickey messes up the gravity while we're sitting at dinner. In which case I imagine we'll be wearing all manner of things we weren't intending.

I plan to post IC in few hours after I get back from work. Until then, have a nice meal.

I would say... it depends. If the prospective character is a relatively harmless eccentric who does the job efficiently and doesn't let a few whacked-out notions take him or her off task, then I'd say go for it. However, if the character can be expected to go around wearing a colander on his head to keep the secret inner circle of Alliance reptilians from beaming subliminal messages into the fillings in his teeth, then I'd say we might have a problem...

Alrighty. Here's a situation. There's a player who is interested in putting a pilot character together for this game. Normally not a problem and a welcoming addition.

Except in this case, said character is going to be a chaotic nut who believes he was abducted by aliens. That kind of personality doesn't mesh with the crew at all, and would get the character laughed and mocked (at best). There's no reason Cassidy, much less General Clapton - both of which were upstanding Alliance officers - would willingly take said individual as a pilot.

It's pretty clear I'm not keen on the idea. Having said that, I want to know what everyone else thinks. Do you want to interact with a nut?

I posted a new scene, or rather moved the game to the next scene. Everyone can post, interact with each other a bit, make jokes, grab food, comment, talk to Hudak, whatever. I just want to see some activity and stuff. Cassidy will be there momentarily.
