There seems to be an issue with the server the images are being hosted on. I'm checking around to find some information since restoring the site to a previous check point (which would only affect layout and appearance not our threads) is not working.

UUmmm...I don't know about the rest of you, but the title image and site options (ei: Home, Photos, profile...etc..) aren't showing for me. Am I alone in this or has there been some changes to the site???

I have a couple of maps started, they are actually pretty far along so I need Acid and Jedi's input. Where should I send them? I've done work on The Hideout, Berkley & Jones Pawn Shop and The Pit. Three that I thought would be a pretty easy start.

So we keep them posted here, and just let them look messed up... and when we need them, we copy them to our own notepad... There isn't a reason to have anyone else's sheets anyway, especially if we already have them posted here. I would open it in notepad just for the convenience of looking at it nicely. If we try to shrink the sheet, we're going to find that we've got very little space to shrink things with.

It could be done like this:

It does the text wrap because the spacings aren't correct for the size of the window. Its a fixed width, so we would have to adjust our spacings on the sheet to get rid of that. Bottom line is either way the sheet will require an edit. While I don't mind (and in fact encourage) players to back their sheets up on their own HDDs, I'd rather have the game one on the website where we can get hold of them easily. I' d rather not have to go digging through my folders on my comp to fish out someone's sheet when I need to reference it. Yanno?

Yea but if we copy the messed up looking one from the smaller window here and paste it right into notepad on our own PCs, everything lines up nicely. On the flip, if you could figure out how to make the box scroll left and right instead of just up and down, you wouldn't need to alter the sheets any because they wouldn't wrap around to the next line.

Also, what if you have more then 1 active character?

My personal vote is keep it all contained in one place if at all possible. There is the code method I had utilized a long time ago. Basically it opens up a mini-notepad in the browser here and lets us use true-type. It requires a little extra scrolling, but I think it wouldn't be too hard to get it and keep it formatted.

Also has the added advantage of keeping the Character Sheets thread smaller. Since these sheets (which can get long) are compressed inside that text-field we can fit more to a post. Instead of a thread and topic per player per character everyone just gets one post and adds the new sheet to it via the code method.

As for the character sheets, I'm still not sure what we're going to do with that. I hate this coding, everything looks retarded. There are two ways to do it that I've come up with. We can post the sheets right out of notepad. They'll look messed up here, but if we copy them from here back to notepad everything lines up ok...

We can host them as downloadable files on our TBLA yahoo group that I was originally going to use before Ac1d's bright idea moved us here. Very Happy
