Newest addition is just something I was messing around with while bored in class. Razz Came up with the idea for an echo-like font style way back when I found myself doing it manually on rpol.

If you click the button in my earlier post, it will add a new button for this font type in the same area as Bold and Italic in the posting windows. But for purely demonstration purposes, here's a link to the page where I developed it.

IItt mmaakkeess tteexxtt llooookk lliikkee tthhiiss!!

I'm also thinking about moving the dice roller from the button on the main page, to the little d6 button in the posting windows. (The one that no one ever used because the Dice Master worked better.) By doing that, not only does it free up space in that menu bar, it also gives me the ability to have the results show up in the post they actually pertain to, in addition to the current log. The point is really just that players can't see that log, and could accidentally close the results window before copying the results.

Music is also an option now. I haven't written it yet. But the same way I added a character profile tab to the profile page, I can add one for STs-only, that allows you to submit a link to some music, and the link to the thread or game you want it to start playing in. Main difference between this and just an embedded imeem object is the music would actually continue to play even if you navigate away from the page that started it, until told to do otherwise.

I have to ask though, judging from the 'times viewed' tag on the profile log... is anyone actually interested in this stuff? Jedi took a look at it like, 2 times, and no one else seems to have even noticed. Sad

Everything seems to be working pretty smoothly now. Give it a try. Smile

I might have spoken too soon. The thing locked up about 2 out of 5 times, and that's unacceptable to me. So I've added a couple things to figure out how to fix this. I'm convinced it's just a load-time issue that'll take some fine turning. It'll be running soon.

NEW LOOK! Empty New Features!

Post by Claymore Thu Sep 10, 2009 5:49 pm

There still may be a few kinks, but I've got a functioning character select menu now. Smile Simply go into the Profile screen, select the new 'characters' tab, add some names and avatars, and they'll appear as options when when you go into any posting screen.

If you plan on using one of the avatars, make sure you deactivate your current one, or both will show up and it'll look ugly.

I can set these features to automatically be active as soon as you open up the homepage, if you Admins decide they work well enough. But for now, for testing purposes, just click the button.

To turn them off, just delete "homepage-h21.htm" from your URL.

Thats part of the image thats there. I can change it, cause it does look a bit out of place.

I'll get to work on that in a little bit.

As for borders: No. Its 1 image spanning the width of the page. A border wouldn't affect that.

Beta has a good point. I hadn't noticed it until he pointed it out, but yeah. What about borders? Would that fix that?

Do you actually mean the colons ":" or the three dots grouped together? If you mean those, those are nav arrows, and I can turn them off. If you mean teh colons, nothing I can do about those.
If you mean something altogether different, mind posting a screen shot?

I like it. The buttons at the top look much clearer, and the big image at the top looks cool. My only complaint would be these little gray bits:

NEW LOOK! Forumswz

They look messy and out of place, I think the forum headlines would look better without them.

The site is done aside from maybe a few minor tweaks here and there. Smile Feedback?

NEW LOOK! Empty NEW LOOK!

Post by Ac1ds0ld13r Tue Jun 23, 2009 1:13 am

I'm sure some of you have noticed, as promised, I am back and working on the site. We're looking forward to all new buttons and a new banner (similar to the current one but larger), new background etc.... Those buttons are hand made and I'm rather proud of the little gif file I made for the private messages. Very Happy

I said I wanted something clean and modern, this is where its going. Feed back is always appreciated.
